Son & Associates is founded by Steven Son. Steven Son is a graduate of California State University, Pomona with B.S. in Accounting and Golden Gate University San Francisco with M.S. in Taxation. Steven met the requirements to earn the PFS credential, which include passing a comprehensive technical exam covering personal financial topics, demonstrating more than 1,400 hours of business experience during the past ten years as well as completing lifelong learning and education activities. The PFS credential is granted exclusively to CPAs who are members in good standing of the AICPA, which binds them to the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct. Never one to be satisfied with the minimum, Steven took another 36 units at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to complete a Certificate of Personal Financial Planning. He also holds securities licenses (Series 6, 63 & 65), as well as CA insurance license.
Steven has over 15 years of accounting experience, including a number of years with large independent accounting firms and multi-millon dollar companies. Steven specializes in providing tax and advisory services to individuals and closely held businesses.
Steven found Son & Associates, CPA with a desire to serve individuals and business owners with meaningful, responsive accounting and tax services. His expertise in public and private accounting gives him a unique perspective into the financial, tax and business needs of his clients that enables him to deliver strategic business and tax planning advice tailed to specific goals and needs.
